The activities of the 49th session of the Buenos Aires International Book Foundation, which is organized by the Book Foundation in Argentina, will be launched yesterday, and will continue until next May 12, and Riyadh is a guest of honor at the exhibition, in an exceptional presence that embodies the growing position of the Kingdom in the Latin continent.
The Riyadh Pavilion comes to strengthen the Saudi cultural presence in Latin America, and it is known in the Saudi capital as a civilized model that embodies the transformations of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, through a varied literary and cultural content, and translated publications into the Spanish language, contributing to extending bridges of cultural understanding.

A Saudi cultural delegation

The Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority is led by the participation of the city of Riyadh, a guest of honor of the exhibition, with the participation of a Saudi cultural and literary delegation, which includes the Theater and Performing Arts Authority, the Heritage Authority, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an, the King Abdulaziz House, the King Salman International Complex for Arabic, the King Abdulaziz Public Library, and the King Fahd National Library, with the aim of opening a Saudi window in front of the exhibition audience from Argentina and different Throughout the world.
The Riyadh City Pavilion was inaugurated by the guest of honor of the Buenos Aires International Book Fair 2025 in the presence of the CEO of the Literature and Publishing and Translation Authority Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al -Wasel, the Acting Agency of the Kingdom’s Embassy in Argentina, Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al -Dakhil, Prime Minister of Buenos Aires Khorkhi Macri, Minister of Culture in his government Gabriella Recardis, and President of the Critin Foundation.

The CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority said during the speech of the guest of honor at the opening ceremony: “With the support of the Kingdom’s leadership, and based on its keenness to enhance international cultural exchange, one of the goals of the national strategy that it seeks to achieve under the umbrella of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030; The Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority attached its great interest in continuing the creative dialogue between peoples, to confirm the prominent role that the city of Riyadh plays in the global cultural scene, and reflects its keenness In exchanging knowledge and experiences with friendly countries.
He thanked His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, for his continuous support for the cultural sectors, and to enable them to perform its pioneering role in drawing the features of the contemporary Saudi cultural scene, in line with the targets of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.

Cultural cooperation

He expressed his thanks to the Prime Minister of Buenos Aires Khorkhi Macri and the Minister of Culture to the government of Buenos Aires Kabrilla Riccards, for the generosity of hospitality, good and reception, stressing that this welcome highlights the depth of mutual respect, and embodies the spirit of cultural cooperation that brings together the two peoples.
The Riyadh Pavilion will review the features of the creative diversity and the cultural identity of the Saudi capital, through an integrated cultural program that includes literary seminars, dialogue sessions, poetry evenings, and performance shows, as well as an exhibition of manuscripts and books, and a corner for Saudi publications translated into the Spanish language, in the framework of supporting the global spread of Saudi literature.

Saudi heritage

The exhibition includes a number of specialized pillars that reflect the richness of the Saudi heritage and its cultural diversity, among them the corner of handicrafts, which offers live shows for traditional industries, the corner of heritage reproductions that highlight the features of historical architecture in Riyadh, in addition to artistic and theatrical paragraphs that show the cultural dimension, and a reception corner designed in the Salmani style, in a combination that combines the spirit of originality and the modernity of design.
The exhibition provides visitors with the opportunity to identify aspects of daily life in Riyadh, through an area dedicated to traditional fashion shows, presented in an introductory formula in the Spanish language.
It is noteworthy that the Boinos Aires International Book Fair is one of the largest cultural events in Latin America. Since its inception in 1975, it has established its position as a leading platform for publishing and exchanging knowledge.
