المملكة: In conjunction with the announcement of the targets of the vision … 200 thousand participants in “Mish 30”

On Saturday, Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al -Jaljel launched the fifth edition of the “Amish 30” event, in Riyadh, with wide community participation that spanned 124 cities and governorates in various regions of the Kingdom, to be the largest local walking event, as it comes with the aim of promoting public health and preventing chronic diseases, in the framework of the targets of the health sector transformation program, one of the Saudi Vision Vision programs 2030.
The event is a transformation model that reflects the transition of the health system from focusing on treatment to prevention, as it directly contributes to raising the quality of life, and increasing the percentage of physical activity in society from (13%) to (40%).

“Ame 30” event

The Minister of Health said: “We are happy today that the main event of the” Amish 30 “initiative is held in the sports track, one of the major projects in the city of Riyadh, which aims to make sports part of the daily lifestyle,” in addition to the activities held in various regions of the Kingdom.
He added that the “Ame 30” initiative “is not just a sporting effectiveness, but rather an actual translation of the goals of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, especially in the aspect of building a vital society that enjoys activity and health, and that the arrival of the percentage of physical activity practitioners, for a period of (150) minutes or more per week, to (58%) at the Kingdom level, is a clear indication of the high level of increasing community health awareness of the importance of adopting a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.”

Places to organize the event

The “Amis 30” event is held this year in a number of regions and governorates of the Kingdom, as follows: Riyadh in the sports track “Brominid”, Asir in (38) sites, Jazan in (26) sites, Al -Qassim in (14) sites, Tabuk and Hail in (9) sites each, and the northern borders in (8) sites, and Bisha in (5) sites, and the eastern region in two locations.
In addition to Makkah Al -Mukarramah, Jeddah, Medina, Taif, Al -Baha, Al -Qunfudhah, Najran, Al -Ahsa, Hafar Al -Batin, Al -Qurayyat, and Al -Jawf, with one location for each of them.

Enhancing a culture of walking

The CEO of the Sports Path Foundation, Jin McGiv, has expressed pride in embracing the “Ame 30” event in the “Bromenide” destination in Riyadh, one of the sports path destinations. She said: “The establishment of these activities comes within the framework of the strategic partnership between the Sports Partner Foundation and the Ministry of Health, aimed at promoting a culture of walking, and motivating community members to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle, in support of the targets of the program to transform the health sector emanating from Saudi Vision 2030.”
McGiv explained that the project works to enhance the position of Riyadh in the world rankings, to become one of the best cities to live in the world, and to contribute to achieving one of the most prominent targets of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, by enhancing physical, psychological and social health and building a society that enjoys a decent life and a healthy and surrounding lifestyle that provides a positive environment that is attractive to the residents of the city of Riyadh and its visitors.

Community initiatives

It is noteworthy that the “Ames 30” event, which is emanating from the “Health Person” initiative, is one of the most prominent societal initiatives launched by the Ministry of Health to enhance the culture of walking as part of the lifestyle.
And she recommended a “healthy” to adopt walking for 30 minutes a day as an effective way to improve physical and psychological health and increase the chances of longevity, noting that recent studies confirm the role of walking in reducing the risk of premature death, improving heart health, preventing chronic diseases, and promoting mental health.
It also called for its integration into the daily routine at a rapid pace for five days a week, or (7,000) to (9,000) steps per day to obtain the maximum health benefits.
In cooperation with government agencies, the Ministry of Health continues to implement its health initiatives aimed at enhancing concepts of prevention, raising awareness, and enabling society to adopt supportive behavior of health, within a continuous path to improve the quality of life, and build a more efficient and sustainable health system.
