100.8 million dirhams .. Harvesting the humanitarian giving of Sharjah charitable in the first quarter

Sharjah, April 29/ WAM/ The total of what the Sharjah Charitable Society was within its humanitarian programs and initiatives during the first quarter of this year, about 100.8 million dirhams, distributed between humanitarian aid aimed at promoting societal solidarity and consolidating the values of goodness and giving, external projects and orphans.
Sheikh Saqr bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, said in statements to him that the value of the internal aid provided by the association during the first quarter amounted to about 3.1 million dirhams, including 2270 cases that included widows, divorced women and the elderly, explaining that in the side of the severed aid, about 23 million dirhams were spent to support various categories within health and educational programs that included 473 conditions at a cost of 13.1 million dirhams, while 444 students were supported
Within the education aid program in the amount of 2.9 million dirhams.
He noted that in the residential aid sector, the association provided support of 4 million dirhams, from which 418 people benefited, in addition to the curvature of the distress of 562 cases.
With financial aid of 2.2 million dirhams and the support of 16 young men and women who are about to marry at an amount of 150 thousand dirhams, in addition to sending 33 pilgrims
To perform the Umrah rituals at a total cost of 500 thousand dirhams.
He pointed out that the Ramadan campaign this year witnessed a remarkable activity by allocating about 6.8 million dirhams to provide food support during the holy month targeting 9486 families by distributing food parcels, breakfast meals, Eid clothing and zakat al -Fitr.
On the external level, the chairman of the association said that the expenses of development projects outside the country amounted to about 62.4 million dirhams during the quarter.
The first varied between building mosques, drilling wells, supporting education and food relief, as well as building 573 mosques at a total cost of 29.9 million dirhams and digging 3623 wells to provide clean water at a cost of 14.9 million dirhams, which are projects that are a lifeline for remote societies, explaining that supporting the education sector represents the establishment and equipment of 65 educational facilities at a cost of 4.9 million dirhams in addition to implementing a meal distribution program The fasting breakfast at a cost of 3.4 million dirhams, construction of 23 houses per poor, at a cost of 654 thousand dirhams, and the provision of 359 productive projects at a cost of 545 thousand dirhams to support productive families and enhance economic sustainability in addition to maintenance and restoration of 26 construction projects worth 452 thousand dirhams to ensure the continuity of charitable services provided.
Sheikh Saqr Al Qasimi said that the association continues its support for the sponsored, who numbered more than 31670, whose categories are distributed by the atmosphere of 31083 orphans.
It is one of the association’s priorities because of its extreme social and human importance, as well as the guarantee of 261 abusive families to meet their necessary needs and support 31 students of knowledge to continue their educational achievement in addition to ensuring 231 imams and teachers and 64 of the owners of determination. The total value of the sponsorship amounts for all guarantees reached 5.3 million dirhams.
He stressed that these continuous efforts stem from the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah, led by His Highness Sheikh Dr.
