Ajman tourism participates in the “Arab Travel Market 2025”

Dubai, April 29 / WAM / His Excellency Mahmoud Khalil Al -Hashemi, Director General of the Department of Tourism Development in the Ajman Government, confirmed that the emirate’s participation in the activities of the Arab Travel Market Exhibition (ATM) 2025, in Dubai, comes within the framework of its annual commitment to enhance its presence on the regional and international tourism map, and highlight the tourism, cultural and heritage elements that abound in it.
He said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, that Ajman’s participation this year focuses on highlighting the most prominent new tourist products and shrines that the emirate witnessed during the past year, as well as supporting and empowering strategic partners in the tourism sector, including hotels, travel agencies, restaurants and activities related to domestic and external tourism.
He explained that the museums are considered one of the most prominent elements of cultural attraction in the emirate, where Ajman currently includes three main museums: the Ajman Museum, the Museum Museum, and the Rashid Al -Khader Museum (House of Poetry), while preparing to open the Manama Museum during the coming period, which embodies the residence of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid, the former ruler of Ajman, and the museum displays scenes that simulate daily life through rooms It represents stations in agriculture, trade, education, and popular culture.
He added that the pavilion in the exhibition includes a special corner for tourism events, highlighting the most prominent activities that the emirate will witness during the current year, including the Asian Bodybuilding Championship, which is hosted by Ajman next June in cooperation with the Asian and Emirati bodybuilding federations, indicating that it is the first continental championship of its kind to be held in the emirate, in addition to the ongoing preparations to organize the world championship next year.
He pointed out that the emirate expanded its global promotional plans, as it participated last year in 4 international exhibitions, and this year aims to be present in 9 exhibitions, as well as promotional visits to about 20 cities around the world, in countries such as Britain, Germany, the United States, China and Russia, as well as the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Egypt.
Al -Hashemi stressed the department’s keenness to stimulate domestic tourism by organizing sporting and recreational events that attract visitors from the various emirates of the country, including bicycle tournaments, running races, and community activities that are organized for one day, and the emirate is working to develop areas such as Musfoot and Manama and increase the number of shrines in it, in a move aimed at prolonging the period of residence of the visitor and enhancing hotel occupancy rates.
He called on the public to visit the Ajman wing in the exhibition, and to see the tourist opportunities provided by the emirate, stressing its commitment to supporting local tourism in parallel with external promotion plans.
