Peruvian Foreign Minister confirms his country’s desire to increase its exports to the Kingdom

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Peru Emir Xielr Salisido affirmed his country’s desire to increase its exports of agricultural products and food industries to the Kingdom, noting that the foreign investor has the same advantages of the local investor with tax stimuli.
This came during his meeting with a member of the Board of Directors of Imad Bin Sadad Al -Fakhiri, at the Federation’s headquarters today, in the presence of the Minister of Energy and Mines in Peruvian Jorge Montreu Corniko, the Peruvian ambassador to the Kingdom, Ricardo Silva Santistepan, and a number of business owners from the two countries.

Competitive advantages

He explained that Peru has more than (25) agricultural products that can be imported, noting that the size of South America to the Kingdom is estimated at ($ 3.8) billion dollars, of which (70) million dollars are only exports of Peru, calling on Saudi investors to participate in an exhibition of agricultural products next September.

During the meeting, a member of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Imad Al -Fakhiri, reviewed, in front of the delegation, the developments witnessed by the Saudi economy and the Kingdom’s orientations towards strengthening its economic relations with the countries of the world, including the Peru Republic, and its competitive advantages and investment opportunities.

Al -Fakhiri stressed the importance of raising the level of cooperation between the union and its counterpart in Peru, signing an agreement between them, establishing a joint business council to intensify the exchange of commercial delegations, establishing economic events and forums, and exploring investment opportunities in light of the components enjoyed by the Peru, especially in the sectors of tourism, trade and agriculture.
It is noteworthy that the Chambers Union is planning to organize a commercial mission for the countries of South America, which includes the Republic of Peru during the second half of this year (2025 AD), in order to explore opportunities with a time that does not exceed the volume of trade exchange between the Kingdom and Peru (205) million riyals; What is a strong indication of great commercial and investment opportunities.
