Sharjah honors Gulf creators in the seventh session of its prize

Sharjah, April 30 / WAM / under the generous sponsorship of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, the cultural office of the Council organized today a ceremony honoring the winner of the Sharjah Prize for Gulf Women’s Creativity in its seventh session.

The ceremony, which was held at the Jawaher Center for Conferences and Events, witnessed the celebration of a group of Gulf and Arab creators in appreciation of their prominent contributions in the fields of literature and culture, where His Excellency Noura Al -Numan, head of the executive office of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, and His Excellency Salha Ghabsh, the cultural advisor and head of the cultural office in the council, handed over the shields to the winners of the winners of the various branches of the award.

In the field of critical studies, Dr. Sabah bint Abdul Karim Issawi from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won her prize for studying “the dialectic of the ego and the other in Arabic journal literature”, and the award with her, Professor Nadia Hanawi Saadoun, shared from Iraq for the study of “the comparison of the ego and the other in the imagined journey as a novelist”, while Sumaya Ali Rahif won the award of the jury for the study of the “attraction of the opposite between the” And the other in the short story. “

In the field of vertical poetry, Dr. Dalal Bint Bandar Al -Maliki and Afaf bint Hussein Al -Harbi from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won the award for their diwani “coma” and “on the cusp of absence”, respectively.

As for the field of child literature – the short story, Badria bint Muhammad Al -Badri from the Sultanate of Oman won the story of “My friend”, and Maryam Khalifa Al -Shehhi from the UAE about the story of “What does it mean to belong?”, While Nada Ahmed Verdun from the Kingdom of Bahrain won the jury award for her story “Shampoo of Wonder Feeling”.

This year, the award honored Dr. Saida Bint Khater Al -Farsi from the Sultanate of Oman, with the “Cultural Personality” award, in appreciation of her distinguished career in the fields of research, study, creativity and social work.

During the ceremony, the prize’s sponsors, the Arab Air Company, the Jawhara Jewelry Group, and the Al -Tunaiji Real Estate Group were honored.

Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Muhammad Al Qasimi, in a voice message broadcast during the ceremony, expressed her pride in honored creators, noting that the award represents an annual platform to enhance cultural and fraternal ties between the Gulf states and highlight the achievements of literary women, as she praised her Highness the march of Dr. Saida Al -Farsi rich in the areas of culture, research, humanitarian and social work.

During the ceremony, the writer Najiba Al -Rifai delivered the speech of the cultural office, in which she praised the contributions of the Gulf creators and the role of the award in strengthening the women’s cultural scene in the region, and Dr. Zainab Al -Yassi presented the speech of the jury, in which she valued the qualitative diversity in the participants, stressing the award role in enriching the Gulf literary movement.

In the speech of the winners, Dr. Sabah bint Abdul Karim Issawi said that the award is a milestone in supporting the creative woman, and it embodies the cultural spirit of Sharjah as a podium in the care of literature and Gulf identity.

Dr. Nadia Hanawi Saadoun, in the speech of the guest, “Iraq”, appreciated the pioneering role of Sharjah in embracing Arab creativity, stressing that the award contributes to crystallizing a bright image of writers in the Arab world.

The ceremony concluded with an intellectual symposium entitled “We and the other … cultural and human dimensions”, in which Dr. Saida bint Khater Al -Farsi, Dr. Sabah bint Abdul Karim Issawi, and Professor Dr. Nadia Hanawi Saadoun participated, and managed by the writer Salha Obaid Hassan.
