The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar bin Ibrahim Al -Khar, headed the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the 54th meeting of the Industrial Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council states, which was held today in the State of Kuwait.
The meeting discussed a number of common issues between the GCC countries in the industrial sector, and reviewed the document of the mechanism of implementing the standards of finding a unified definition of the Gulf national product, the report of products excluded from the identification mechanism, the periodic update of the unified strategy for industrial development, and the Gulf industrial excellence award.

During the meeting, the committee discussed the report of the activities of the Technical Secretariat Office to combat harmful practices in international trade, report the achievements of the Gulf Industrial Consulting Organization, and study the evaluation of commercial integration between the countries of the Cooperation Council after establishing.

He urged the meeting to encourage the industrial sector in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and to integrate the roles of the GCC countries to develop their national industries, in order to promote economic growth and diversity, and contribute to overcoming the challenges and obstacles facing the sector.
