المملكة: The launch of 22 innate creatures threatened with extinction in Medina

The National Center for Wildlife Development, in cooperation with the National Center for the Development of Vegetable Cover and Combating Desertification, launched 22 innate being threatened with extinction in Al -Bayda Park in Madinah, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al -Madinah Al -Munawwarah Region, and in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Emirate of the region, Abdul Mohsen bin Nayef bin Hamid,
This comes within the center’s efforts to multiply and resettle fungal organisms in their natural environments, enrich biological diversity in natural areas, and enhance environmental balance.
The launch included: six mountainous and four of the Arab human antelopes, and four brunette eagles, in addition to six birds, and two looted and emitted.

Wildlife development

Within the framework of supporting monitoring and follow -up efforts, absolute organisms were provided with satellite collars and tracking devices, with the aim of following up their movements in their natural environments, and analyzing data related to their adaptation and stability, in a way that contributes to enhancing the effectiveness of proliferation, resettlement programs and ensuring their sustainability.
The CEO of the National Center for Wildlife Development, Dr. Muhammad Ali Qurban, explained that this launch represents an additional step within the efforts to develop innate life in the Kingdom, according to the best scientific standards and international practices, noting that these efforts contribute to achieving the Kingdom’s 2030 vision in the field of environmental protection and its sustainability.

Dr. Qurban added: “These initiatives embody the Kingdom’s commitment to protecting biological diversity and rehabilitating ecosystems, and also contributes to raising the attractiveness of national parks to support environmental tourism and enhance the social and economic development of local societies.
This launch also comes within a series of initiatives implemented by the center to achieve the goals of the national environment strategy and the Saudi Green Initiative, to enhance the protection of natural resources and their sustainability for future generations.
The National Center for Wildlife Development, through its specialized centers, which are among the best in the world, is implementing the programs of multiplication and resettlement of fungal organisms, in addition to developing environmental monitoring and monitoring technologies, to ensure the best results in protecting and sustaining the innate life.
