Pakistan General Consulate in Dubai celebrates Pakistan National Day

Dubai April 30 / WAM / The Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Dubai organized an official reception on the occasion of the National Day of Pakistan, in the presence of His Excellency Khaled Mohammed Al -Kaabi, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Dubai Office, along with His Excellency Ihsan Iqbal, Minister of Planning and Development and Special Initiatives in Pakistan, and His Excellency Faisal Niaz Termahi, the Ambassador of the Republic of Pakistan to the state, and His Excellency Hussein Mohamed Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, and a number of senior Officials and members of the diplomatic corps, and a group of Pakistani community members in the country.
The ceremony started with recitation of verses from the wise dhikr, followed by the players of the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in an expression of the depth of the brotherly relationship between the two countries.
In a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, His Excellency the Consul General of the Republic of Pakistan confirmed that the National Day of Pakistan commemorates the historic Lahore decision issued on March 23, 1940, which paved the way to establish the Republic of Pakistan on August 14, 1947, indicating that this day embodies the values on which the state was founded, which is freedom, dignity and justice, and said that this year’s celebration was held at the end of April instead of March, due to the coincidence of The occasion with the blessed month of Ramadan.
The ceremony witnessed two official words from His Excellency the Minister of Planning and Development and Special Initiatives in Pakistan, and the His Excellency the Consul General of the Republic, during which they expressed the appreciation of the Republic of Pakistan to the distinguished relations that it has with the UAE, which includes various fields, most notably trade, investment, energy, education, technology and culture, pointing to the pivotal role that the Pakistani community plays in the UAE in strengthening these ties.
The ceremony reviewed a visual presentation that highlights the historical cooperation stations between the UAE and Pakistan, and the development of the partnership between the two countries in various fields, and the book “The Ammar Al -Watan”, which highlights the biography of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul”, was presented by the Pakistani businessman Khan Zaman Sorour, where a symbolic version of the book was given to His Excellency Khaled Muhammad Al -Kaabi, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Dubai Office.
At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency the Consul General sent a message of thanks and appreciation to the UAE leadership and people, for its incubating environment for his country’s community, stressing that the UAE represents the “second homeland” of millions of Pakistani who live and work in it.
