المملكة: Traffic development and safety … a huge road network linking the various Jazan terrain

The Jazan bandits play a major role in the quality of people’s lives, as it connects the terrain of the various area with a huge road network exceeding 2183 km, including obstacles and highways and dirt, including 9 projects that were recently launched with a total of 164 km and a cost of 807 million riyals.
The director of the branch of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics in Jizan, Eng. Mubarak bin Nasser Al -Mutawa, explained that the region has had important projects for roads, including the duplication of the “Al -Haq/ Al -Reith/ Al -Hayat/ Al -Hayat” road with a length of 21 km, which links Al -Rith Governorate to the rest of the region, links it with the Asir region, and contributes to enhancing economic development, enhancing tourism, improving the quality of life, and raising the level of traffic safety to the sites that pass through the road.

Improving road quality

He referred to two other important projects on the “brother/tall” highway, which are one of the most important projects being implemented, benefiting that work is underway to implement 32 km that include upper intersections, asphalt and dusty work, as the implementation of about 112 km ended and its opening of traffic.
He stressed that the work continues to improve the quality of roads in the Jazan region, through 3 maintenance contracts for a total value of 149 million riyals, as the roads are maintained with a total length of 2183 km, including 496 km dual.

A huge road network links the diverse terrain of Jazan

And Al -Mutawa indicated that the “Al -Tawal/Al -Shuqi” road is also one of the most important ways to be maintained through the acts of scraping, asphalt restoration and safety means with a length of 180 km, as this road contributes to the transfer of the movement between the governorates, and it is a major artery linking the Jazan region to the Asir region.
He revealed the completion of the implementation of 8 safety initiatives, which contributed to raising the level of safety on the road network at a cost exceeding 228 million riyals, in addition to lighting 11 solar energy intersections, the implementation of 5,000 guidance and warning paintings on all roads, and the implementation of 130 thousand longitudinal meters of concrete and metal barriers, and more than a million longitudinal meters of warning vibrations technology.
Eng. Al -Mutawa concluded his statement by confirming the continuation of work to develop the Jazan region roads, which contributes to achieving the promising national targets in the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.
