Bani Yas coach is a candidate to succeed Somodica in Rapid Bucharest

The Romanian newspaper “Sport” revealed that the Romanian team coach, Daniel Isila, has become a candidate to take over the training of the Rapid Bucharest team starting from next season, after the coach of the Rapid Bucharest team, Marius Somodica, announced his departure from his position, after the loss in the Romanian Cup semi -finals against Hermanstat.

The newspaper pointed out that the list of candidates includes several names, including Esiala, the former coach of the Roman national team under 21, explaining that his current contract with Bani Yas ends at the end of the current season, and also mentioned that he was close to assuming the technical responsibility of the Rapid Bucharest team two years ago.

The newspaper added that the file of Daniel Isila is accepted by the club owner, businessman Dan Toko, who is estimated by the coach’s long experience in the artwork, and his interest in long -term projects, in addition to his ability to build and develop teams. Essiala, 52, has a busy record, during his career with the clubs of Tremol Brashov, FC Brashov and Rapid Bucharest, before retiring from football in 2006.

In 2014, he held the position of assistant coach of the Roman national team, as he led the under-21 team between 2016 and 2018, and began his career in the Gulf region by taking over the leadership of the Saudi Al-Hazm team 2018-2020. Daniel Isila moved to the training of the Bani Yas team in 2020, and succeeded in building a team that led him to occupy the second place in the table, then moved to Ajman training in 2023, and led Khor Fakkan in 2024, before returning again to “Al -Samawi” at the beginning of this year.

During his training career, Essiala won the Romanian Cup 2013-2014 and the Romanian Super Cup 2014.
