Ahmed bin Saeed is looking to enhance cooperation with the head of the global markets in “PayPal”

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Supreme President of the CEO of Emirates Airlines and the group, met the head of the global markets at “PayPal”, Susan Keer, at the headquarters of the Emirates Group.

According to a press release issued yesterday, discussions touched on the discussion of opportunities to develop relations between the two parties that extend for more than 15 years, and to enhance cooperation frameworks in the advanced digital payment scene.

Emirates Airlines currently provides the option to pay via “PayPal” on its site in 34 countries.

The carrier during the past year witnessed a noticeable increase in the rates of “PayPal” use, whether in terms of the number of users, the repetition of operations or the volume of transactions.

The “Paypal” recently opened its first regional headquarters in Dubai to serve the Middle East and Africa, with the aim of supporting more consumers and companies in emerging economies, enhancing their capabilities in the field of trade, and enabling companies of all sizes to expand in global markets.

The pace of Dubai’s transformation is accelerated into a global financial technology center, taking advantage of its strategic location, its business -supporting policies, and its advanced financial infrastructure. The city succeeded in attracting major international companies in this sector, in parallel with supporting the growth of local startups, launching accelerators and combinations for the sector, as well as the innovative “Sand Box” laboratories that allow testing new solutions.
