The four -day activities included heritage shows, a corner for productive families and handicrafts, in addition to an exhibition of wild plants, the “Malihiya dish” competition and paragraphs dedicated to children; This contributed to enhancing environmental awareness and supporting craftsmen and local society.

The “Al -Malihiya dish” corner witnessed a wide turnout from the visitors of the season’s activities, in a neighborhood show that embodies the food heritage of the northern border, within the initiative of “National Distress and District Dishes” launched by the Cooking Arts Authority, with the aim of documenting and introducing Saudi traditional cuisine locally and globally.
The corner presented daily offers to cook the Melihiya dish with the participation of chefs from productive families, in addition to interactive workshops that allow visitors to learn the steps to prepare the dish and its components, in addition to the “Best Melihi Dish” competition that has a great interaction, and a cultural angle that highlights the story of the dish and its ancient history in the region.
