Sharjah Police announces its security and traffic readiness in preparation for the night of the 27th of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr

Sharjah, 13 March / WAM / The Sharjah Police General Command announced its security and traffic readiness through a comprehensive plan in preparation for the night of the 27th of Ramadan and the reception of Eid Al Fitr, as part of its keenness to enhance public security and safety, organize traffic, and ensure the smooth flow of movement in various regions of the emirate, which contributes to providing a safe and stable environment for the community and enhances its quality of life.
The plan is based on an integrated security, traffic and community system, based on intensifying the spread of security and traffic patrols on main roads, intersections and vital sites, in addition to strengthening the presence in the vicinity of mosques that witness a large turnout of worshipers to perform Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers and Eid al-Fitr prayers, to regulate the movement of vehicles in and out, especially during the night of the 27th of Ramadan.
The plan also includes strengthening the security presence and intensifying traffic control in markets and commercial centers, which witness increased activity during the last days of the holy month in preparation for Eid al-Fitr, which will contribute to reducing traffic congestion and enhancing the level of traffic safety in the emirate.
The Sharjah Police General Command harnessed all its capabilities, supported by competent human cadres and an advanced system of smart technologies and surveillance cameras. This enhances the speed of field response and ensures immediate dealing with various cases and reports.
Brigadier General Omar Al Ghazal Al Shamsi, Director General of the General Department of Operations and Security Support, said that the security and traffic plan comes within Sharjah Police’s proactive approach to enhancing security preparedness during religious and social seasons and events, stressing that field teams work according to an integrated system to provide the highest levels of security and safety, in addition to Sharjah Police’s keenness to integrate roles with its strategic partners from the relevant government agencies. To ensure the success of the plan and achieve its objectives, by coordinating field efforts and exchanging experiences; This reflects the level of readiness and efficiency enjoyed by the police system in the emirate.
Brigadier Al Shamsi stressed that enhancing security and safety is a shared responsibility that requires the cooperation of community members with police officers, through adherence to traffic guidelines and instructions, the necessity of following up on children and monitoring their behavior, and not allowing them to use fireworks or engage in any practices that may expose them or others to danger. To preserve their safety and the safety of society.
He called on community members not to hesitate to call 901 for non-emergency reports and inquiries, and 999 for emergency cases. This contributes to enhancing the speed and efficiency of response to various reports, and also urges the public to report any practices or behaviors that may affect the security and safety of society. To enhance community partnership and establish a safe and reassuring environment in the Emirate of Sharjah.
