The Saudi wing at the Muscat Book Fair reflects the creative diversity in the Kingdom
The participation of the Saudi delegation, led by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, was a qualitative and mutual addition to the exhibition, and provided a valuable opportunity to directly communicate, and to open a Saudi window for those wishing to get to know the literary product and translation movement in the Kingdom in a way that enhances the bridges of the joint Gulf cultural understanding.

The Kingdom’s pavilion presented a rich and multi -side cultural program that included intellectual seminars and dialogue sessions with a group of thinkers and writers, which gave participation a vital character that reflects the creative diversity witnessed by the Kingdom.

And participated in the Saudi pavilion, prominent national institutions supervised by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Authority, with the participation of the King Salman International Complex for the Arabic Language, King Abdulaziz House, King Abdulaziz Public Library, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Noble Qur’an, and the Publishing Association, alongside Taibah University.

This participation comes as an affirmation of the Kingdom’s keenness to consolidate cultural partnerships with the Sultanate of Oman, in light of strong historical relations and a joint civilized interaction between the two peoples in the areas of thought, literature and arts, as well as expanding cultural cooperation projects between institutions and individuals in the two countries.
It is noteworthy that the Muscat International Book Fair, since its first start in 1992, is one of the most prominent cultural events in the region, and contributed to the development of societal awareness of reading, supporting the Arab publishing market, and enhancing the status of the Omani book among readers in the Arab world and the world, through an integrated platform for cultural communication and knowledge openness.
