251 billion riyals .. Criticism circulated outside Saudi banks

The monthly statistical bulletin issued by the Saudi Central Bank showed that the cash circulated outside banks in Saudi Arabia on a monthly and annual basis during last March.
According to the bulletin, the trader outside the banks last March amounted to 251.535 billion riyals, an increase of 10.6%, compared to 227.491 billion riyals in the same month of last year.
The bulletin reported that the cash is circulating outside the banks last March, on a monthly basis by 5.7%, compared to 237.905 billion riyals in February of this year.
The bulletin indicated that the cash outside last March amounted to 275.627 billion riyals, up 9.3%, on an annual basis, compared to 252.186 billion riyals in the same month from 2024.
The bulletin, issued by “Sama”, stated that the cash outside the central bank increased in March 2025, on a monthly basis by 6.4%, compared to 259.086 billion riyals last February.
According to the bulletin, cash with Saudi banks last March reached 24.092 billion riyals, low 2.4%, compared to 24.0659 billion riyals in the same month of last year.
She pointed out that the cash with Saudi banks increased on a monthly basis last March, by 13.7%, compared to 21.181 billion riyals in February of this year.
