Ajman reaps 3 certificates "ISO cities" For the second year in a row

Ajman, May 6/ WAM/ Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi, representative of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs, received the three certificates of “ISO Cities” specifications, issued by the World City Data Council “WCCD”, in confirmation of the emirate’s continuous commitment to achieving sustainable urban development.
The certificates included “ISO Sustainable Cities and the Quality of Life ISO 37120”, which the emirate obtained for the third time in a row, “ISO 37122 Smart Cities”, and “ISO 37123 elastic cities”, and thus the Emirate of Ajman has become a pioneer in obtaining these three certificates combined in one year, and for the second year in a row, which reflects its global entrepreneurial position Within smart and flexible cities.
The emirate also recently joined the new international standard “ISO environmental and social sustainability and governance”, in a qualitative step confirming Ajman’s commitment to providing an advanced urban environment, taking into account the balance between economic, social and environmental development, and adopts accurate and internationally accredited indicators to measure urban performance and direct policies towards sustainable development.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi said: “We are proud of Ajman’s qualitative achievements, and they obtained international testimonies for the indicators of the quality of life and smart and flexible cities, and we are keen and continuing to develop a modern infrastructure, smart government services, and development initiatives based on sustainability and the luxury of life of the emirate society.”
He added: “We are in the Emirate of Ajman and led by His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Rashid Al -Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council, Governor of Ajman, and the follow -up of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, President of the Executive Council, we spare no effort in raising the level of the quality of the lives of citizens and residents on the land of the emirate, and we put their happiness at the top of our priorities, and this achievement is a success test It stops, through which we seek to build a smart, safe, flexible city, with leading services and modern infrastructure that attracts everyone. “
He praised the close cooperation between the Ajman Center for Statistics and the supporting bodies of this achievement, which contributed to creating an integrated work environment based on transparency and internationally recognized institutional standards, which enabled the emirate to achieve qualitative leaps in measuring and developing relevant performance indicators, indicating that the emirate’s obtaining these prestigious certificates embodies the fruit of all government work teams, and the emirate’s commitment to continuous improvement according to higher International standards adopted in the indicators measuring system.
For its part, His Excellency Dr. Hajar Al -Hubaishi, Director General of the Ajman Center for Statistics, affirmed that the approved indicators are not limited to measuring performance only, but also strategic tools that enable the emirate to draw development policies that respond to reality and keep pace with variables, and support the achievement of sustainable development goals through accurate local indicators, supported by statistical analysis and scientific standards.
