“Dubai Financial” and the Taiwan Stock Exchange promote cross -border cooperation

The Dubai Financial Market signed a memorandum of understanding with the Taiwan Stock Exchange, to set a framework, with the aim of enhancing the means of cooperation between the two financial markets.

The agreement aims to enhance the investment activity across the border, stimulate the efforts to develop capital markets, and to enhance the presence and attractiveness of the two markets among investors in the region and the world.

A statement, issued yesterday, stated that both the CEO of the Dubai Financial Market and the Nasdaq Dubai, Hamid Ali, and the Chairman of the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Sherman Lane, signed the Memorandum of Understanding, during the activities of the third edition of the capital market summit for the Middle East and North Africa, the most prominent event for the Dubai Financial Market.

According to the new agreement, the two parties will explore the opportunities to exchange tools and financial products in the two markets, including the reference funds traded and relevant stock products, in addition to joint efforts to communicate and interact with investors, exchange visions and experiences through regular dialogue and mutual visits.

Ali said: «We are pleased to strengthen our relationship with the Taiwan Stock Exchange through the new memorandum of understanding, as this partnership comes as an extension of our busy and distinguished record in supporting border listing operations, and enabling more investors from various major global regions to reach financial markets.

For his part, Lynn said: “Through the memorandum of understanding with the Dubai Financial Market, we will lay the foundations to facilitate the inclusion of financial products in the markets of both sides, and moreover, the two exchanges will cooperate in promoting their markets to enhance the awareness of local investors, and to facilitate mutual visits and joint events to exchange knowledge and experiences in the future.”
