Al Qasimi publications review their publications at the Doha International Book Fair
Sharjah, May 8 / WAM / The Al -Qasimi Publications House participates in the Doha International Book Fair 2025, which started today, reviewing the latest historical publications of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, entitled “The Portuguese in the Sea of Oman, events in annually from 1497 AD to 1757 AD.”
His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, took a unique approach in this rare year, as he managed to acquire a large group of Portuguese, Dutch and British manuscripts and worked to sort, classify and translate it with a tireless effort to provide a reliable article that is an essential reference for researchers in the history of the region and the nature of political, economic, social and conditions in that period.
The house displays an encyclopedia: “Sultan of Dates”, which consists of four parts in which His Highness talks about the history of Oman based on the proven historical references, as His Highness in the Encyclopedia of Sultan relied on his scientific outcome established in history, geography and antiquities and his long experience in monuments and documents and his broad briefing on precious manuscripts, as His Highness also derived his information from his personal holdings from the rare books and unique references.
Al -Qasimi’s publications also displays many modern literature, such as: the play “The Woody Rose” and “Anthology of Jeron Nama”, in addition to other literature in various fields of knowledge.
“The publications” participate in more than 250 books that include 81 titles of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi between history, novel and theater at the Doha International Book Fair, which witnesses a great participation of the most important publishing houses in Arab countries in general and the Gulf in particular and foreign publishing houses.
