exhibition "Multiple media .. We are all open circles" May 16 in Manara Al Saadiyat starts
Abu Dhabi, May 10 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Group for Culture and Arts, in cooperation with the Sema Arts Museum, announced the organization of the exhibition “Multiple Media .. We are all open circles” during the period from May 16 to June 30, 2025, under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa Bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the campus of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region.
The exhibition highlights the scene of contemporary media from Korea from the sixties of the last century to this day, and the shifts of the scene of the Korean media for six decades are highlighted.
The exhibition, which is organized for the first time in the Middle East, is held in the lighthouse of Saadiyat, the first cultural partnership that extends over three years between the two institutions, and includes 48 artistic works for 29 artists and artist from Korea, and its title derives from the inspiring phrase Nam John Baik “We are in open circles”, exploring the concept of artistic mediator not only as a material, but as a system that exceeds the limits Time, technology, geography and identity.
The exhibition is also organized in conjunction with the issuance of “overlapping dialogues”, a leaflet that includes texts for resident writers in the UAE, and aims to deepen cultural exchange between Korea and the UAE.
The events accompanying the exhibition include a program of dialogue sessions, performance shows, and artistic events.
This exhibition is part of a long -term partnership that brings together the Abu Dhabi Culture and Arts Group and the Sema Arts Museum “Sema” with the aim of promoting cultural dialogue between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Korea.
Another joint exhibition, entitled “A Strong rapprochement” will be held at the Seoul Art Museum in the Korean capital, Seoul, in December 2025, with the participation of three generations of artists residing in the UAE.
