The chemical laboratory in the “Abu Dhabi District” discovers a new narcotic substance and documents it internationally

The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department has achieved an advanced scientific achievement, represented in the ability of the chemical laboratory at the Criminal and Electronic Sciences Center to discover a new narcotic substance that was not registered or pre -known at the international level, and officially documenting it in the international database, in a move that reflects the leadership of the UAE in the field of criminal sciences and early detection of narcotic drugs.

The chemical laboratory has succeeded in using the latest laboratory scientific techniques, in identifying an anesthetic material belonging to the category of “manufactured canals”, which was called the name AdB-4C-MDMB-BINACAAnd it was registered at the international database in the Netherlands, under the name of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department Laboratory, to be the first party in the world to document this article.

Support the criminal justice system

The Undersecretary of the Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi, Counselor Youssef Saeed Al -Abri, emphasized that this achievement embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and his interest in developing the justice system by supporting research and innovation, and in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, President of the Presidency Court, President of the Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi, continuing Excellence and upgrading technical capabilities to support the criminal justice system.

Al -Abri said: “This discovery represents an extension of the series of the achievements of the chemical laboratory at the Criminal and Electronic Sciences Center, which has already been able to reveal another narcotic substance that belongs to the same category of manufactured channels, which reflects the level of high readiness, competence and specialized technical experience enjoyed by the work team, and its role in providing leading scientific contributions that contribute to the consolidation of community security.”

He explained that the discovery of this narcotic substance will have a concrete impact on supporting international drug control efforts and enhancing the security and safety of societies, pointing to the fruitful cooperation with the Institute of Criminal Sciences for Research and Education (CfsreIn the United States of America, one of the international centers specializing in identifying the types of drugs manufactured, in order to verify the properties of the material before issuing and publishing its scientific paper through the official website of the international center.
