Dubai, May 12 / WAM / Emirates Airlines confirmed that the year 2024-2025 was the most crowded so far in terms of luggage handling, the carrier dealt, during the period between April 2024 and March 2025, with more than 2.8 million bags per month, and at an average of 100 thousand bags per day, from Dubai to 140 global destinations, with a growth of 3.7% in the total number of bags compared to last year.
And Emirates Airlines, according to a press release today, maintained an exceptional success rate in luggage handling of 99.9% of its center in Dubai.
These results are placed Emirates Airlines at the forefront of the global air carriers in the performance of luggage handling, with 99.9% of the bags left from Dubai or follow -up through them to their owners on time and in the right destination, while the rate of luggage loss in Emirates Airlines, which is known as late or lost luggage, remains at the minimum of 1.4 bags out of every 1,000 bags in its center in Dubai, which is about 30 times less than some other service providers.
Globally, when the bags are unavoidable, 91% of which are returned to their owners within 72 hours.

The statement said: This rate is an achievement because Emirates often runs the luggage of international flights and international follow -up trips, which pass through long and complex flights that require a much higher level of care compared to internal travel.
It has a prominent record in the field of missing, where 94% of precious holdings are retrieved and returned to customers in Dubai in just 60 minutes, thanks to a team dedicated to this purpose.
These holdings, which are found on the carrier planes or in Building No. 3 at Dubai International Airport, include “passports, governor, and phones”, which are essential and important elements for the experience of customer travel.
In 2024, Emirates Airlines began using the luggage recovery service without identification cards, and a new feature to track the bags in the event of any error, “Emeries Page Connect” is a tool available through the Emirates Airlines application and website, and provides a comprehensive vision of the luggage trip with a follow -up of each bag in the actual time, and this service is currently available in 80 stations within the Emirates Airlines network.
In its center in Dubai, and out of 2.8 million bags that are held monthly, about 2,300 bags are found without identification cards.
The Emirates and Dnata teams are working together to follow the owners of these bags in a proactive manner, and about 80% of them are loaded on flights before taking off without affecting the customer’s experience.
