"sunrise" Sharjah’s future vision supports more than 52 projects with investments and partnerships exceeding 7 billion dirhams

Sharjah, May 12 / WAM / The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Sunrise) revealed that the outcome of its development career within 15 years was to develop 52 projects and tourism and cultural experience that spanned more than 60 million square feet in various cities of Sharjah with investments and partnerships of 7.2 billion dirhams.
The initiatives included 3 projects in the real estate sector, with investments worth 5 billion dirhams and 10 qualitative projects in the hospitality sector, with investments of 850 million dirhams, 18 projects in the retail and entertainment sectors. Investments exceeded 870 million dirhams, 5 projects in the culture and arts sectors, with investments of 447 million dirhams, and 10 projects in the food and beverage sector. Strategic partners in various sectors in the context of its vision to diversify its investment portfolio and enhance sustainable growth.
The “Shorouk” projects included the development of marine facades over 7.7 km, which highlights the natural beauty of the emirate, as well as environmental projects that reflect the commitment of the authority to sustainability values. It contributed to creating more than 5,000 direct and indirect job opportunities, including 1095 opportunities through partnerships with 10 local and international bodies.

Shorouk succeeded in establishing its position and role as a major engine for the growth of the real estate sector in Sharjah, which recorded 7.6% of the non -oil GDP of the emirate and support the emirate’s contribution to the state’s gross domestic product.
The authority achieved an annual growth rate compound in its real estate sales by 48.9% between 2018 and 2024 and implemented three major projects “Maryam Island”, “Sharjah Sustainable City” and “Agwan Khorfakkan” with a total of 4,516 real estate units of 5 billion dirhams, 4,187 of which were sold to customers of 98 nationalities.
The “Maryam Island” project, which was developed by “Shorouk”, is located in partnership with “Eagle Hills” on the waterfront in the heart of the Emirate of Sharjah and includes 3,083 units on an area of 3.19 million square feet in the Khan area.
The “Sustainable City of Sharjah” is one of the most prominent sustainable environmental models in the region, where “Shorouk” developed it in partnership with “Diamond Devilops” on an area of 3.29 million square feet and includes 1,248 units.
The “Ajwan Khorfakkan” project, which is still under construction, is one of the most prominent landmarks in the luxury real estate market in Sharjah.
The tourism and hospitality sector witnessed during the first half of 2024 growth of 5.1%, and since its establishment, “Sunrise” has invested 850 million dirhams in 10 hospitality projects, three of which are still under construction that contributed to the development of infrastructure and luxury hospitality projects, which strengthened Sharjah’s position as a leading tourist destination.
