Health: The rate of resettlement of the nursing staff increased to approximately 44% during the year 2025

The Ministry of Health, coinciding with the International Nursing Day, which falls on May 12 of each year, revealed a high rate of resettlement of the nursing staff during the year 2025 AD, to approximately 44%, after it was 38% in 2016, as a result of “the strategy of entitlement to the nursing profession 2018 – 2022”. The ministry launched its strategy with the aim of supporting self -sufficiency in national nursing cadres, and enhancing its contribution to raising the quality of health services, In line with the targets of the health sector transformation program within the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, aimed at building a vital society with high quality of life, and a prosperous economy based on investment in national competencies.

The Ministry of Health has targeted the promotion of the demand for the nursing profession, through qualitative initiatives that contributed to increasing students ’enrollment in nursing colleges, with a focus on building a qualified national workforce that keeps pace with the needs of the sector, and supports the sustainability of excellence in providing health care services.

The Ministry affirmed the continuation of its efforts in supporting and empowering the national nursing cadres, and raising its professional competence, in a way that contributes to meeting the needs of the health sector, and building a comprehensive and integrated health system that enhances the Kingdom’s leadership in providing high -quality health services at the regional and international levels.
