Abu Dhabi, May 13/ WAM/ The registration door closed to participate in the closing round of the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam for Jujitsu, organized by the Abu Dhabi Association for the Jujitsu and the Emirates Federation for Jujitsu, and will be hosted by “Mubadala Arena” in the capital Abu Dhabi during the period from 16 to 18 May, amid a wide global interest in the event that is the conclusion of the conclusion of an exceptional season of championships.

The Abu Dhabi tour is the last station of the series “Abu Dhabi Grand Salam” for the 2024-2025 season, after it roamed a number of major global cities and capitals, which included Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Tokyo, Beijing, Roma, Moscow and London, before its journey in the capital Abu Dhabi, which embraces the closing scene with the participation of a group of world champions.

The number of nationalities participating in the final round reached 66, while the number of registered players and players exceeded 2,500 players, including more than 300 black belt campaign, in confirmation of the wide international presence and the great confidence that the tournament has to the global Jujitsu community.

The closing round is witnessing a historic moment by honoring the first classifications in the arrangement of the Abu Dhabi Association for the Jujitsu Professionals, in appreciation of their accomplishments during the season, with financial and honorary prizes of up to 180 thousand US dollars.

Among the participating Emirati stars are Al -Suwaidi, Khaled Al -Shehhi, and Washa Al -Kalbani, along with a group of the most prominent international names, such as Yunderroson Ferrera, Julia Alves, Jafrson Gette and Yuri Henrique.

The activities accompanying the championship include recreational and educational activities for children, as part of efforts to enhance sports culture and spread jujitsu among emerging generations.

Tariq Al -Bahri, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Association for the Jujitsu Professionals, stressed that since its first inception, the Abu Dhabi Grand Salam Jugitsu Championship contributed to supporting the jujitsu sporting process under the umbrella of Abu Dhabi, through the discovery and development of talents, raising the level of professionalism, and expanding the practices base of the game around the world, which reflects the ambitious vision of the UAE in making Abu Dhabi a global capital of Jujitsu, with the follow -up His Excellency Abdel Moneim Al Hashemi, President of the UAE and Asian Federations, First Vice President of the International Federation of Jujitsu.

He said that the continuous successes of the championship embody the great efforts made by the Emirates Jujitsu Federation and the Abu Dhabi Association for the Jujitsu Professionals in developing sports, by providing global competitive platforms, and providing the opportunity for the UAE and the world’s champions to compete in distinguished competitions in a professional environment.
