Abu Dhabi Police invites drivers and pedestrians to adhere to safe crossing

The General Command of Abu Dhabi Police participates in the 8th United Nations Traffic Safety Week under the slogan “pedestrian safety and cyclist safety”, stressing its keenness to enhance the culture of safe transit among drivers and pedestrians, in a way that contributes to reducing accidents and achieving the highest levels of traffic safety.

Brigadier Mahmoud Youssef Al -Balushi, Director of the Traffic Directorate and Security Patrols, affirmed the interest of the Abu Dhabi Police in promoting awareness of pedestrian and bike safety within its strategic priority, which is road security.

He called for the need to adhere to the pedestrians using the gathered crossings, which are bridges, tunnels, and infantry lines with traffic lights and avoid random crossing and not being busy with the phone during walking, stressing that commitment to laws is a shared responsibility that preserves lives and enhances community security, as well as drivers to give priority to the infantry, and attention in areas near schools and housing complexes, stressing that respect Infantry rights reflects the driver’s awareness and civilizational commitment.

He pointed to the constant interest in spreading awareness through field campaigns and digital platforms, using modern technologies, to enhance the traffic awareness of all members of society, stressing the importance of joint cooperation between everyone in adopting the correct traffic behaviors to achieve more results, which reflects positively in promoting traffic safety in society.
