Sharjah is the hero of the youth handball cup for the 16th time in its history
Sharjah, May 13 / WAM / The Sharjah Youth Handball Team crowned the Super Cup for the Sports season 2024-2025, after defeating Al-Wasl 28-26 in the final match that was held this evening at the Sharjah Sports Club Hall.
This title is the sixteenth in the club’s history, and the fifteenth in a row, to strengthen the team’s record in the tournament.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al -Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, and Dawood Mohamed Al -Maleh, member of the Emirates Handball Federation Board of Directors, Chairman of the Competitions Committee, crowned the Sharjah team with gold medals and the championship cup, and Al Wasl Club with silver medals, in the presence of Mohamed Obaid Al Hossan, member of the Sharjah Sports Club, Chairman of the Collective Games Department, and Jassem Mohamed, member of the group Games, handball supervisor.
The competition this season witnessed the participation of 3 clubs, Sharjah, Al -Wasl and Al -Batal, and it was held in the league system from one round and Sharjah achieved the full mark by winning the two games.
With this coronation, the Sharjah youth team won the trilogy of the season 2024-2025, after winning the Youth League and the Emirates Cup alongside the Super Cup and is considered the most culminated team in the history of Emirati handball for the youth category, with a total of 46 titles, including 17 titles in the league, 16 in the Super Cup and 13 in the Federation Cup.
