The seventy -eighth session of the World Health Society

The General Assembly of the World Health holds the work of its seventy -eighth session in Geneva from 19 to 27 May under the slogan “One World for Health”. The World Health Assembly brings together high -level representatives of governments and stakeholders to address health challenges, as member states face emerging threats and great transformations in the global health scene.

This session sees the World Health Assembly in the Agreement and Responding to the Futures of its approval, which negotiated the text by the International Governmental negotiations for three years, and member states also consider a 20 % increase in the contributions of countries in the organization’s budget during the period 2026 – -2027 within the framework of the fourteenth work program.

It also discusses rearranging the organization’s work priorities, including cost reduction and budget amendment for the current year, to align the organization’s resources with the most urgent global health needs, and restore sustainable health development goals to the right track.
