Abul -Gheit warns of Israel’s reckless policy in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon

Ahmed Abul -Gheit, Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, warned today of Israel’s reckless and aggressive policy in Palestine, Syria and Lebanon, which will enter the whole region in the face of an escalation of tension on all fronts.

Abu Al -Gheit said in a speech at the opening of the 34th Arab Summit in Baghdad that this policy gives the occupation the right to set fire everywhere for the purpose of expanding under the pretext of security and expansion under the argument for the establishment of buffer areas.

He stressed the refusal and condemnation of the Arab League this policy, warning of its extreme danger of the stability and security of this region.

He said that the issue of the people of Palestine and its just right to establish an independent state will remain the issue of the historical and major university so that the Palestinian state is realistic and practical.

The Secretary -General of the League of Arab States expressed his thanks for the efforts made and made by Egypt and Qatar to reach a ceasefire agreement and Saudi Arabia for its active leadership of the Arab -Islamic Committee to stop the war in Gaza.

On the situation in Syria, Abu Al -Ghait said that Syria is in a difficult stage and a great challenge to build the new Syria, stressing the university’s standing alongside the government and the people to overcome this difficult situation.

Abul -Gheit expressed his confidence that the lifting of US sanctions on Syria will contribute to creating a new economic situation that enhances the ability of the people of Syria to confront the future with confidence.

On the Lebanese affairs, he said that Lebanon is facing a historic challenge to recover, imposing state sovereignty, restricting weapons in its hands in light of Israel’s continuous aggression, violating the country’s sovereignty, and violating the agreement to stop hostilities.

He expressed his hope that the Lebanese state will be able to undertake this major responsibility in the interest of the future of the people of this dear country.

On the authority of Yemen, the Secretary -General of the League of Arab States said that “the Houthi group still insists on unilaterally with the capabilities of Yemen and the aggravation of the suffering of the Yemeni people,” stressing that the situation there will not improve unless this group realizes the impossibility of the continuation of this situation and engages in a national effort that regains the meat of Yemen.

On Libya, Abu Al -Gheit expressed concern about the continuation of the division that threatens the unity of the state, hoping that all parties will put the interest of the country and its unity above every consideration in order to prevent the deterioration of matters, reaching the end of the current stage and conducting a comprehensive reconciliation that enables Libya to start to a promising future that its people deserve.
