Ammar Bin Hamid begins a visit to Chongzing, China

His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council, will start on Tuesday a visit to the city of Chungzings in the People’s Republic of China, which will last for several days.

The visit aims to strengthen bonds of bilateral cooperation in many strategic sectors that support the sustainable development process for both sides, and to deepen the existing partnership between the Emirate of Ajman and the Chinese city.

The visit is of special importance, as His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman is scheduled to witness a ceremony to sign a memorandum of understanding between the government of the Emirate of Ajman and the municipality of Chungzings. ‏

The memo aims to establish official twinning relations between the two cities, which opens wide horizons for exchanging experiences and knowledge in vital and varied areas that include the economy, trade, logistical services, energy, education, culture, tourism, in addition to science and technology and other sectors of common concern.

The visit of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al -Nuaimi to Chungziching comes within the framework of the eagerness of the Emirate of Ajman to build strong and sustainable international partnerships, in line with Ajman 2030 vision aimed at achieving comprehensive and sustainable economic development, and enhancing the emirate’s position as an attractive destination for investment and business. ‏

It is expected that this visit will contribute to opening new chapters of fruitful cooperation between Ajman and Chungzings, in a way that benefits the two sides and supports their common ambitions towards a more prosperous future.

The city of Chongqing, which has a population of 34 million, is a symbol of the rapid urban revolution in China, and is considered one of the largest and fastest growing industrial centers in the southwest of the country.

The size of its gross domestic product in 2024 was approximately 452 billion US dollars, which reflects its growing economic power. ‏

Chungzheng is famous for being a leading technological city and a giant force in the modern Chinese auto industry, and adopts the power of digital transformation and smart manufacturing technologies.
