Hamdan bin Zayed: "Make in the Emirates" It reflects the leadership vision to build a sustainable economy

Abu Dhabi, May 19/ WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al -Dhafra region, stressed that thanks to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, the UAE has become an important center for advanced industries, and His Highness pointed to the great importance that the rational leadership attaches to enhancing the industrial sector and providing it with qualified qualitative national competencies as a basic pillar of growth and development And diversify the local economy.

This came during his visit to the fourth session of “Made in the Emirates”, which is held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, with the participation of decision makers and officials in the institutions of the governmental and private sectors, business leaders, investors, industrialists, experts, innovators and financing institutions.

During the tour, His Highness reviewed the latest products, technologies and industrial solutions offered, which highlight the development of the industrial sector in the country and its pivotal role in diversifying the economy and enhancing global competitiveness of Emirati products.

His Highness expressed his pride in the national achievements and innovative initiatives he witnessed, stressing that the initiative (Making in the Emirates) is a strategic platform that reflects the vision of our rational leadership in building a diverse and sustainable national economy, led by innovation and advanced industry.

On the other hand, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, launched the “Surger” group, the leading Emirati company in the fields of oil and gas operations, logistical services and the provision of workforce, during an official ceremony held today within the activities of the fourth session of the exhibition “Make in the Emirates” and in the presence of a number of senior officials and entrepreneurs in the country.

His Highness revealed the new institutional identity and the slogan of the group that inspired by the deer tree, the symbol of strength, flexibility and sustainability in the Emirati environment.

The ceremony witnessed the announcement of the conclusion of a strategic agreement between the “Surger” group and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) with a value of two billion dirhams, stipulating the provision of “ADNOC” with a wide range of equipment and machines over a period of five years, in a partnership aimed at supporting its vital projects in the energy sector.

The signing ceremony of the agreement took place in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al -Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Managing Director and CEO of “ADNOC” and its group of companies, Captain Muhammad Juma Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Surger” group, and was signed by Saif Al -Falahi, the head of business support and special tasks in “ADNOC”, representing the company, and a number of senior officials.

On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al -Jaber said that in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership to support economic, industrial and logistical growth in the UAE, ADNOC is pleased to expand and document its cooperation with the ‘Surger’ group, confirming our firm commitment to building strong partnerships that focus on the future and support our strategic goals, and we will work through this cooperation to explore new opportunities that fall within our main priorities It contributes to achieving an additional long -term value of “ADNOC” and “Surger”.

Captain Mohamed Jumaa Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Surger” Group, said that the launch of the new identity of the group represents a milestone in the company’s march by providing innovative, integrated and sustainable solutions to our customers in the oil and gas and logistical services sectors and the provision of workforce, based on a long legacy of excellence and experience. ”

The “Sahr” group, which was previously known as “Al Dhafra Technical Services” is an extension of the history of institutional work that began with the integration of “Al Dhafra Cooperative Society” and “Dalma Cooperative Association”, which was established under an Emiri Decree from the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, in 1976 and 1981 respectively and the group developed to become a reliable partner in providing services Integrated supports economic and social growth in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and abroad.
