A precedent of its kind globally … the success of a human bladder transplant in the United States

American surgeons succeeded in performing a human bladder transplant, in surgery, the first of its kind in the world and could form a turning point for patients with dangerous disorders in the bladder. This operation was conducted with cooperation between two universities in California for a patient named Oscar Larsar, a 41 -year -old father and undergoing dialysis seven years ago.

“The patient was cancer, which necessitated the removal of a large part of his bladder years ago, and then removed his kidneys.”

The statement pointed out that Larsar obtained a bladder and a college – from the same donor – during the surgery that lasted (approximately 8) hours and was conducted in early May at the University of Ronald Regin Medical Center in California.

In its statement, the university pointed out that the surgeons first cultivated the college, then the bladder, and then connected the college to the new bladder using the technology they developed.

For his part, the surgeon, Dr. Nima Nasiri -one of the surgeons participating in the operation -said: “The result of the operation is encouraging and similar, and the college immediately produced a large amount of urine and the patient’s kidney function has improved at once.”

He added: “There was no need for dialysis after the operation, and urine flowing properly to the new bladder.”

In turn, the operation commander, Anderber Jil, said: “This surgery represents a historical moment in medicine and can lead to a shift in the treatment of patients who suffer from the bladder stopping work.”
