The achievements of the King Salman Center

On May 17, 2015, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – announced the basis stone for the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Acts, based on the teachings of the true Islamic religion that requires the relief of the inspector and the help of the needy, and the preservation of human life, dignity and health and an extension of the human role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its global mission in this field.
He announced the allocation of one billion riyals for the relief and humanitarian work of the center, with the aim of seeking to make it based on the human dimension, away from any other motives in cooperation with the approved international relief institutions and bodies.

Aid for earthquakes
In the earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria, the King Salman Center provided temporary tents for those affected by the earthquake, and built 3 thousand temporary buildings for the expressed, and the Kingdom signed projects contracts for the victims of the Turkey and Syria earthquake with more than 183 million riyals (48.8 million US dollars).
A Saudi coach, a coach, participated in the search and rescue along with the Turkish teams; To lift the rubble, search for survivors, help the afflicted, and provide the necessary support from medicine, food and urgent health care.
In August 2023, the center announced a new contribution of $ 3.5 million to support UNICEF in the fields of nutrition, water and sanitation to save children and families affected by the earthquake in Syria.
And a translation of its leading humanitarian role, the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs, “OCHA”, thanked the Kingdom after its exporting list of donors in response to the Turkish earthquake, and its contribution with other countries in the amount of $ 268 million in response to the billion dollars in the human finance call in Türkiye after the earthquake.
The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action also implemented from January 1 to 8, 2024 AD, the volunteer medical project for orthopedics, prostheses, physiotherapy, brain and nerves in the city of Rihaniya in the Turkish Republic, with the participation of 23 volunteers from various medical specialties, within the Saudi Volunteer Volunteer Hayat Program for Seismo in Syria and Turkey.
The center also launched a popular campaign through the “contributing” platform; To help those affected by the earthquake in Syria and Turkey. The value of the donations in it reached (523,572.976) riyals, while the number of donors reached (3.395,010) donors, as well as the total donations collected by the “contributing” platform within the popular campaign to relief the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip in less than three months, more than 600 million riyals, while the number of donors participating in the campaign exceeded one million and 350 thousand donors.
