المملكة: Under the patronage of the Emir of Mecca, the first research conference for students at universities in the region was launched


Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Emir of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, the first research conference for Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, under the title “Today’s Research… Tomorrow’s Future,” organized by University of Jeddah.

The conference witnessed the participation of more than 1,900 male and female students, researchers, and faculty members from 12 universities in the Makkah region, in a creative scientific atmosphere and a stimulating practical research environment, aimed at supporting scientific research, developing students’ skills, and promoting a culture of innovation.

Scientific Program

The conference included a rich scientific and training program that included 40 courses. Training, 14 workshops, and 6 dialogue sessions discussed the scientific axes: the axis of environmental sustainability, the axis of logistics, the axis of basic and engineering sciences, the axis of health and medical sciences, and the axis of social, human and administrative sciences, and contributed to the exchange of experiences between participants from various disciplines.

His Excellency the President of the University of Jeddah, Dr. Obaid Al Mudhaf, inaugurated the launch of the conference and its activities, stressing the importance of empowering student researchers and supporting scientific initiatives that contribute to building the future of research and innovation in The region.

The Journey of a Start-up Company

The conference also included a lecture entitled “The Journey of a Start-up Company to Go Beyond the Valleys of Entrepreneurship,” presented by the Chief Advisor at the Environment Fund, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Fawzan, during which he reviewed inspiring experiences in entrepreneurship and innovation.
