Gold and silver continue their gains

New York, February 9 / WAM / Gold and silver continued their gains, today, Monday, in light of the decline of the dollar.

Gold rose in instant transactions by 1.4% to $5,029.09 per ounce by 00:37 GMT, after rising by nearly 4% last Friday.

US gold futures for April delivery increased 1.4% to $5,051 per ounce.

Silver rose in spot transactions by 2.5% after increasing by 10% in the previous session.

As for other metals, the price of platinum in spot transactions rose 1.8% to $2,134.18 per ounce, while the price of palladium rose 1.8% to $1,737.75.
