“Dubai Roads” monitors 134 technical holidays and emancipated 88 violations as part of a comprehensive inspection campaign for the safety of trailers

In the context of its continuous commitment to strengthening road safety standards and achieving its global leadership in easy and sustainable movement, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority carried out a comprehensive inspection campaign under the title “The safety of trailers” in the first quarter of this year, through which it targeted the focus on aspects related to licensing and enhancing traffic safety for trailers and semi -trailers used for the emirate’s methods to ensure their compliance with the standards And technical requirements.
The campaign included the implementation of 2638 field inspections on heavy vehicles in several strategic locations for vital road transport in the emirate, most notably Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street and Emirates Street, through which 177 trailers were audited to ensure the availability of tire safety requirements and standards, brake efficiency and lighting system, verification of license, professional permits for drivers, and other important procedures that It relates to the approved safety standards.
“The Roads and Transport Authority is keen to implement periodic inspection campaigns targeting various vital sectors, especially the land transport sector, with the aim of ensuring the highest levels of traffic safety for heavy vehicles and road users on the streets of the Emirate of Dubai,” said Ahmed Mahboub, Executive Director of the Licensing Corporation of the Roads and Transport Authority.
