"Sharjah Charity" The bakery operation project is launched in Gaza to relief 20 thousand per day

Sharjah, May 21 / WAM / The Sharjah Charitable Society launched a qualitative project to operate local bakeries in Gaza, in cooperation with the “Al -Faris 3” operation, with the aim of providing bread and daily food for tens of thousands of affected people, especially children, the elderly and displaced families facing harsh living conditions, at a total cost of 750 thousand dirhams per month.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, Executive Director of the Association, stressed that this project comes as an extension of the UAE’s firm approach in providing immediate relief support to the afflicted peoples, noting that the operation of bakeries is a continuation of the efforts of the previous association, which included digging 12 wells and operating kitchens to provide food for the affected people.
He explained that the bakery operating project covers the needs of 20 thousand people of bread per day, which makes it one of the largest food initiatives directed at the sector at the present time, in light of the acute shortage of supply materials and limited operational capacity of the remaining bakeries.
He said that the project represents one of the main pillars in the relief campaign implemented by the association in favor of Gaza in cooperation with its partners in the field to ensure that aid has reached the most affected groups according to accurate criteria that preserve their dignity and meet their basic needs.
