المملكة: Jazan .. Saving a young man with “ICOO” technology at Prince Muhammad bin Nasser Hospital

A medical team specialized in Prince Mohammed bin Nasser Hospital in Jazan region managed to save the lives of a young man in the second decade of life, after suffering from a critical condition that caused the clogging of the airway and severe breathing difficulty, as a result of a large tumor in the neck and chest.
The Jazan Health Gathering explained that the young man came to the emergency department while suffering severe suffocation and shortness of breath, and after the tests it was found that there is a life -threatening tumor that caused a clogging of the airway, which necessitated an urgent intervention using the “Ecmo” technique to save his life.
In addition to conducting rapid surgical intervention, it was followed by a chemotherapy to reduce the size of the tumor and improve the general condition of the patient.

The success of the treatment plan

The medical team indicated that the patient regained his ability to breathe after the success of the treatment plan, dispensed with the “ICOO” device, and his general health condition improved.
