Abu Dhabi, 18 March / WAM / In line with the measures taken by the UAE that aim to protect the safety of its people and those residing on its soil, the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat confirms that Eid al-Fitr prayers will not be held this year in Eid prayer halls and open places, and that they will be held inside mosques only, at the state level, in coordination with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, and the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah.
The authority called on all worshipers to perform the Eid prayers inside the mosque early and pray to God Almighty to protect the United Arab Emirates, its leadership, its people, and its residents from all harm, and to perpetuate the blessing of security, safety and stability, and to make this Eid an occasion of goodness and happiness for everyone, and to bring it back to us and our country, surrounded by tranquility and shaded by reassurance.
