"Federal National" Participates in the meeting of the members of the members of the members and partner in the Parliament of the Mediterranean

Marrakech on May 22/ WAM/ His Excellency Afra Rashid Al-Basti, Assistant Secretary-General for Parliamentary Communication in the Federal National Council, participated in the fourth meeting of the General Secretariat of the member and partner parliaments in the Mediterranean Parliament, which was held within the work of the third session of the Marrakesh Economic Parliamentary Forum for the Euro-Mediterranean region in the city of Marrakech in the Kingdom of Morocco.
Afra Al -Basti said in a speech on the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Mediterranean Parliament that the Mediterranean Parliament succeeded through its active contributions in supporting political dialogue on conflict and peace issues, and strengthening regional security by confronting the phenomena of terrorism and organized crime and the first great interest in empowering women and youth as an essential axis in the stability of societies and expanding its networks with regional and international organizations.
She pointed to the pivotal role in which the general secretariats of national parliaments were played, which formed the institutional pillar supporting this march, and the efforts aimed at assessing and developing the institutional performance of the Mediterranean Parliament, through the importance of employing artificial intelligence tools in supporting the general secretariats of national parliaments, especially in the field of organizing legislative information, analyzing data, and improving operational and administrative efficiency.
Her Excellency stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between public secretaries, and exchanging experiences on the mechanisms for employing artificial intelligence in developing institutional work systems and digital governance, noting that the Federal National Council created in 2024 AD, a committee specialized in artificial intelligence at the level of the General Secretariat, with the aim of exploring the prospects for digital transformation and developing a smart parliamentary work environment that contributes to enhancing the efficiency of legislative and supervisory performance.
Her Excellency praised the proposal to establish an organized forum for general secretaries, as an important step towards enhancing institutional cooperation, exchanging best practices, and developing parliamentary work mechanisms in a framework of coordination and integration.
