New York University Abu Dhabi celebrates the graduates of the 2025 batch

Abu Dhabi, May 23 / WAM / New York University celebrated the graduation of the 2025 batch of its students, which includes 530 students representing more than 85 countries, as this batch is one of the largest graduates since the foundation of the university in 2011.

The ceremony was attended by a number of officials and members of the administrative and teaching bodies at the university, including Evan Cisler, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of New York University, Rima Al -Muqrib, member of the Board of Trustees of New York University, and Linda Mills, President of New York University.

The event witnessed the participation of Andrew Voystal, a former astronaut at the US National Space Agency and Geophysics, who stressed during a major speech to the graduates the need to work hard to achieve their goals and invest all available opportunities.

For his part, Fabio Piano, Vice President of New York University, Abu Dhabi, praised the university graduates who have succeeded throughout their academic career in providing innovative ideas and solutions to many challenges and have achieved remarkable achievements over their career.

Since its foundation, New York University has adopted the conditions for admission that is one of the most stringent in the world, and is classified among the 35 best universities in the world, according to the Times Foundation for Higher Education, which places it first among the universities classified in the UAE.

A group of students from around the world qualifies for study at New York University, and the student community includes about 2,200 bachelor’s students and graduate studies from different backgrounds. University graduates have received a number of prestigious scholarships, including 24 Rhodes grants, 20 Schwill grants, and 16 Volibright grants.

Only 4% of applicants to join the 2025 batch, and they represent the elite of excelling in the standard tests that qualify them to enter the most prestigious universities in the United States of America.

During their four academic years, students were distinguished during their excellence in academic and social activities, where they participated in student clubs and sports groups and succeeded in establishing good relations with the Abu Dhabi community.

And 88 % of the graduates obtained at least one internal training during their academic career in leading regional institutions.

While a number of graduates intend to continue their higher studies after accepting them in the finest international universities, including the College of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, Harvard University, the Imperial College University in London, London University of Business Administration, and Oxford University, a number of graduates received job offers from major local and international companies, including the Abu Dhabi Investment Council, Amazon, Department of Culture and Tourism, Mita, and the World Food Program For the United Nations.

The New York Abu Dhabi University, founded in 2011, revolves around raising the ranks of the most prominent research universities in the world, and facing the most prominent local and global challenges.
