“Food Safety” closes 3 food facilities in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Authority for Agriculture and Food Safety issued a decision of the administrative closure against three food facilities (two facilities in Abu Dhabi and one facility in the Al Ain region) due to violating Law No. (2) of 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the legislation issued according to it, as well as its seriousness on public health.
The authority stated that the closed facilities are “Chitinado Restaurant Malati Koycen Y.MM”, which carries the commercial license (CN-1070357) in Abu Dhabi, and the “Nile Nile Nile and Sweets” facility in Al-Jimmy in Al Ain, which holds the commercial license (CN-4472448) in addition to the Dimand City supermarket facility in the armor that carries commercial license No. (CN-1247285).
The commission stated that the food control report stated that the administrative closure decision against the three facilities came as a result of the repetition of food safety violations and the failure to implement effective corrective measures, which necessitated taking immediate action that guarantees food safety and the health of consumer.
The commission stressed that the administrative closure order will continue against the three facilities until the causes of violations will be removed, with the possibility of resuming the activity after correcting the conditions of the entire facility and adhering to all the requirements of food safety.
She pointed out that the administrative closure and the detection of abuses comes within the authority’s plan to enhance the food safety system in Abu Dhabi and to undergo all food facilities to periodic inspection to ensure its compliance with the requirements with a focus on the pre -emptive protection of consumers and ensuring that all facilities are committed to food safety requirements.
The authority appealed to the public to communicate with it, and to report any violations that are monitored in any food facility or when doubting the safety of the food by calling the free number of the Abu Dhabi government 800555 until the authority’s inspectors take the necessary action to a safe and sound food for all members of society in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
