"National Media" It organizes a round table around the future of the media in preparation for"Bridge"

New York, May 23 / WAM / The National Media Office organized a round work table in the presence of His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamid, Chairman of the Office, Chairman of the Emirates Media Council Board, on the sidelines of the International Conference on News Information (INMA) held in New York.
This initiative comes within the framework of preparing for the “Bridge” summit, where the table collected a group of influential leaders in the press, technology, entertainment, public affairs, and culture, as part of a series of interactive sessions and workshops that targeted discussing media challenges in the next stage and opportunities for cooperation between various sectors.
His Excellency Abdullah Al Hamed stressed that the “Bridge” summit seeks to draw a new path for the media by enhancing international cooperation and integrating efforts to develop the media scene and enhancing its role in serving the community and building a more sustainable and human world, noting that building a responsible and creative media can only be achieved through strong cross -border partnerships.
His Excellency noted that holding this round table constitutes a new station within the global preparations for the Bridge Summit, which aims to formulate a joint media vision based on the integration of sectors, convergence of specializations and interaction of cultures, and looks forward to the future of the media in light of the accelerating digital transformations.
The table event began with an opening session presented by Richard Atas, CEO of Richard Atas and Partners, followed by an introductory speech by Maryam bin Fahd, adviser to the National Media Office, reviewed the goals of the Bridge system and its role in building confidence and facing the challenges of the media sector.
In a session entitled “Entertainment and Cultural Power: When the attention becomes a currency” in which His Excellency Abdullah Al Hamid, a group of media professionals and thought makers, stressed the responsibility of the cultural content makers towards the quality of the messages they provide and their impact on the formation of societal awareness.
His Excellency the head of the National Media Office stressed during his intervention that the essence of the real influence is not measured by the number of observations or reaction rates, but rather by the power of authentic and purposeful content, which contributes to building more aware and coherent societies, and re -consideration of human values ​​in a digital space that is disputed by speed and the accumulation of surface content.
His Excellency pointed out that the biggest challenge in the era of digital platforms lies in preserving originality and credibility amid the noise of advertisements and the dominance of algorithms that promote the easiest and fastest at the expense of the deepest and most influential, calling for the production of content that carries in its essence the meaning and the message, and contributes to the formulation of a cultural discourse that promotes public taste, and enhances social cohesion.
In a session entitled “Who is the narration today?” A group of media professionals and content makers participated in the discussion of dealing with the increasing effect of digital factors in forming public discourse, while a session entitled “Charitable Institutions: The Price of Editorial Independence” explored alternative financing models that protect creative and media independence.
While the session “Academic Institutions: Teaching Truth when I lose confidence” took place on how to rehabilitate media leaders who are able to maintain integrity in a decentralized digital world, while the “Future Media Future: Borders Voices” session discussed the technical, moral and creative challenges that can reshape the media scene.
The last table sessions, which came under the title “Media and Innovation: Transformation, Honesty and Asalization”, discussed the influence of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and the augmented reality on the media narration and credibility.
The event witnessed a workshop “Journalism and Education in the face of the crisis of trust”, presented by a group of media professionals and academics, which focused on the challenges facing the media in light of the low youth confidence in it.
