8 teams qualify for the round of 16 in the World Cup Football World Cup
Baku on May 25 / WAM / The Bahraini team came out of the competition race to qualify for the round of 16 in the mini -football tournament currently held in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku until the first of next June, by a difference of direct confrontations with its Mauritanian counterpart, despite its great victory this evening over the Slovenia team 4 – 1.
The Bahraini and Mauritanian teams were equal with 4 points each, but the latter reached the next round with the advantage of the direct victory over the Bahraini team 2 – zero in the second round, where this evening against the leaders of Azerbaijan lost “7 points” by two clean goals.
In other matches, the Chadian team lost the opportunity to qualify by losing against its Uzbek counterpart with three clean, in the second group, to stop its score at 3 points, while the Uzbeki raised its points to 4 points, as the French team qualified from this group, leading with 5 points, and the Ukrainian team succeeded with 4 points and the preference of confrontations with Uzbekistan, for his victory 2-1.
In turn, the Portuguese team rose to the next round with the full score “9 points” in the fourth group, with its great victory over its Indian counterpart 8 – zero, accompanied by the Bulgarian team “6 points, and the winner of its role over its Sloveaki counterpart with a clean goal.
The same round also reached the English national team by defeating Turkey 3 – zero, and the third group led it with 7 points, and the Hungarian team after defeating the same result over the Ukraine team, raising its score to 5 points.
