27 players in the UAE squad to confront Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the World Cup qualifiers
Dubai, May 25/WAM/Olaario Cosmin, coach of the Emirates National Football team, announced the selection of a list of 27 players, in preparation for the two decisive rounds of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup finals, against the teams of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on June 5 and 10.
The first confrontation of Uzbekistan, scheduled for next June 5, is the first official appearance of Cosmin at the head of the technical staff of the UAE team, which included its list of the two decisive matches by Khaled Issa, Hamad Al -Mundhiri and Ali Khasif, in the goalkeeper and in the defense line Lucas Lima, Khalifa Al Hammadi, Kwami Kyuyu, Alauddin Zuhair, Sava Evkovic, Khaled Al -Dhanhani, and Marcus Miloni, Abdul Rahman Saleh, Badr Nasser and in the midfield Fabio de Lima, Yahya Al -Ghassani, Zayed Abdullah, Abdullah Ramadan, Yahya Nader, Dhuan Pereira, Majid Hassan, Ali Saleh, Muhammad Abdul Basit, Abdullah Hamad and in the attack .. Caio Kaneido, Junior Nepoy, Sultan Adel, Kayo Lucas, and Bruno Olivira.
The UAE team is currently ranked third in the first group with 13 points, behind Iran, with 20 points, and Uzbekistan, who has second place with 17 points.
