Dubai Chamber of Commerce launches the Brazilian Business Council

Dubai, May 26 / WAM / The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three rooms operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, announced the establishment of the Brazilian Business Council, with the aim of expanding the horizons of economic cooperation, enhancing joint work between the business community in Dubai and Brazil, and stimulating bilateral partnerships across all sectors.

During the first meeting of the Brazilian Business Council, which was recently held at the headquarters of Dubai Chambers, ways to develop investments in promising business opportunities were discussed, upgrading relations between Brazilian companies and their counterparts operating in Dubai, and sharing experiences and data in addition to organizing bilateral business activities.

The establishment of the Brazilian Business Council comes in light of Dubai’s position as an international business center for Brazilian companies and investors, as the value of non -oil trade between Dubai and Brazil during the year 2024 reached 13.8 billion dirhams with a growth of 35% on an annual basis, which reflects the durability of bilateral trade relations.

By the end of 2024, the total number of active Brazilian companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce membership was 364, a growth of 22% compared to the number of companies registered in the membership by the end of 2023.

Maha Al -Qarqawi, Vice -President of the Business Society Support Sector in Dubai Chambers, said that the establishment of the Brazilian Business Council reflects the firm commitment of Dubai Chambers to expand the contribution of investors from all over the world to the economic development process in Dubai, and to enhance strategic partnerships between business societies in the emirate, as the Council provides various opportunities for investment cooperation and stimulating sustainable growth of trade relations between Dubai and Brazil.

She added that the business councils, which operate under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, represent the nationalities of investors who practice their activities in the Emirate of Dubai, and through cooperation and coordination with the Chamber, the focus is on promoting bilateral trade and investments between Dubai companies and companies of these countries and markets represented by the councils in order to develop economic partnerships.
