The Crown Prince of Sharjah chairs the Executive Council meeting

Sharjah, May 27 / WAM / The Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah held this morning its meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council.
During its meeting held in the office of His Highness the Ruler, the Council discussed a number of general issues related to the progress of government work, discussing the general policies of government departments and bodies, and its role in achieving the vision and strategy of the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Council issued a decision regarding the organization of “brokerage” mediation in the Al -Haraj Market in the Emirate of Sharjah, which is prohibited from any natural person to carry out mediation activity in the Al -Haraj Motor Market without obtaining a permit issued by Sharjah Asset Management Company according to the conditions and controls it determines.
The decision also stipulated the administrative penalties for violators of the decision, and the judicial seizure of the employees adopted by the competent authority and issued by a decision of the President of the Judicial Council.
The Council reviewed the annual report of the Sharjah International Airport Authority for the year 2024 AD, which included the most prominent achievements of the authority at the level of passengers and aircraft, modern services and new projects that keep pace with the airport growth.
According to the report, the movement of passengers increased in the year 2024, as the number of passengers reached more than 17 million passengers, and the aircraft movement indicators and air charging size witnessed a remarkable increase, reflecting the great confidence and distinguished services of Sharjah International Airport.
The report included the progress of work and completion rates in new projects, which come within a series of projects to develop and expand Sharjah International Airport, modern services and facilities that were added to enhance the pioneering level reached by the airport, including adding 12 new parking lots to the aircraft, expanding the registration area of passengers, and completing the new building for engineering and maintenance department, in addition to increasing destinations and attracting new airlines for travelers and shipping.
The Council also learned about the prizes and credits obtained by the Sharjah International Airport Authority during the year 2024, including the adoption of the airport and a friend of the child and the family, and the honoring of the authority within the initiative “Building Better Airports” for its exceptional commitment to develop its infrastructure.
