Save the life of a child from self -suffocation while playing in Al -Ahsa

Immediately, the medical team initiated first aid, and coordinated via the hotline to transfer the child to the injuries and accident center at King Fahd Hospital in Hofuf. Once the report was received, the mobile injuries team, which was prepared to launch within 7 minutes of the injuries center, was activated. The team arrived at Prince Saud bin Jalawi Hospital, where the emergency medical intervention began, then the case was transferred urgently to the injuries and accidents center to complete specialized care – in just 16 minutes.
After providing emergency medical interventions, the child was introduced to the intensive care department for children, where he received the necessary care under the supervision of the specialized team. Thanks to God, the child’s condition stabilized and recovered, and the hospital left six days after health, returning to his normal life.
It is noteworthy that this intervention comes within the efforts to develop the path of injuries and accidents in the health gathering of Al -Ahsa, as one of the active initiatives within the Saudi health care model for urgent care. Where this path aims to respond to the rapid response to the critical and life -threatening cases, starting with receiving the communication through the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, and passing through coordination via the hotline that links all the concerned authorities, to ensure immediate intervention and provide service in the appropriate time and place, and ending with the activation of highly qualified mobile injuries in all hospitals of Al -Ahsa healthy gathering.
