Heritage activities in the last week of "Dalma Historical Festival"
Abu Dhabi, May 30/ WAM/ The activities of the third and last week of the historic Dalma Race Festival include its eighth session, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club and the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, a number of heritage, sports and entertainment and awareness activities.
The last week of the festival, which started on May 16 and will be held on Friday and Saturday and Sunday, witnesses the organization of the Dalma Hunting Championship with a total of 300 thousand dirhams and concludes on the first of next June, Al -Badel women’s competitions, football and beach volleyball, the Cerem and Domino for men and women, the activities of the cooking competition, the talented competitions, and the daily children’s competitions that Its prizes are 52 thousand dirhams.
It also includes a competition for the most beautiful heritage costume for children with daily prizes with a total value of 25 thousand dirhams, in addition to the activities of the main awareness and heritage theater, popular games, children’s corner activities, heritage village and marine and craft workshops, and the popular market in the festival.
The third week, which started today, is witnessing the organization of the Dalma Race standing on the tablet for young and old, and the Dalma race for kayak for young and old, and the feather tennis championship for women, and other activities and events that find a demand from the participants of different age groups.
The organization of the historic Dalma Race Festival comes with the aim of reviving the Emirati marine heritage and strengthening the national identity, as well as the definition of citizens, residents and visitors to the state’s heritage, as well as contributing to achieving an economic movement that supports productive families and revives the local market for Dalma Island and its local community.
