The first Lebanese is following women’s issues with the United Nations actress in New York

The first Lebanese, Mrs. Nemat Aoun, President of the Lebanese National Women Affairs Authority, received the residing actress for the United Nations Development Program in Lebanon (UNDP), Mrs. Blaira Aliko, in the presence of the Director of Programs in the United Nations Development Program, Mrs. Gayle Kibranian.

During the meeting, Elko stressed “the importance of the first lady’s visit to New York and her participation in the work of the sixty -ninth session of the Women’s Status Committee,” noting that “this visit contributed to enhancing the support of the international community for Lebanon, especially the issues of girls and women.”

The meeting also dealt with ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides, and the willingness of the United Nations Development Program to implement programs and activities within the framework of the plan of the National Authority for the Lebanese Women Affairs for the coming years.
